Global Neighbors: Identifying Diverse Populations in Northwest Hennepin County Using School District Enrollment Data
Northwest Hennepin County is changing faster than the U.S. Census Bureau can keep pace. This report uses data compiled from the Minnesota Department of Educaiton (MDE), school districts and individual public elementary schools that serve cities in Northwet Hennepin County. The data represents only families with school-aged children, but provides a more recent glimpse from 2000-2001 to 2006-2007 into the region's changing demographics. |

Homeless Service Use in Minnesota - Amherst H. Wilder Foundation
This is the first in what will likely become a series of reports on the use of homeless services in Minnesota. It is important to note that this report is not a comprehensive report about all homelessness in Minnesota. Instead, this report focuses on usage of two housing types: time-limited emergency shelter and more service-rich transitional housing, which typically allows stays of up to two years. |

Point-of-sale tobacco marketing in Brooklyn Center, Crystal, and New Hope
In November 2007, as part of its Tobacco-Free Youth project, Northwest Hennepin Human Services Council conducted assessments of point-of-sale tobacco advertising at 40 stores in the cities of Brooklyn Center, Crystal and New Hope. The project was funded by the Minnesota Department of Health through its Reducing Youth Exposure to Tobacco Influences initiative. |
